Financial hardship Policy
Financial Hardship defined
The Telecommunications Consumer Protections Code C628:2012 defines Financial Hardship as a situation where a customer is unable to discharge of the financial obligations in relation to our services but where the customer expects to be able to do so over time if payment arrangements are changed.
We encourage you to contact us if you experience any difficulties paying our services. Please contact us by calling 1800 701 106 if you would like to discuss any Financial Hardship matters with us. You can do so Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm AEST.
Budget Conferencing provides flexibility when it comes to paying your bills. We understand that occasionally you may experience difficulties in paying for Budget Conferencing services you have used.
Budget Conferencing’s financial hardship policy can help with payment options to stay in control of your service costs and usage.
This policy covers recent unforeseen circumstances that impact on your financial Commitments. Unforeseen circumstances may include sudden illness, or other reasonable causes, e.g. a death in your family.
We may be able to help you manage the payment of an outstanding amount or a Budget Conferencing bill that you are expecting in the near future, e.g. we can discuss a payment arrangement over a period of time so you don’t have to pay the whole amount at once. We will also discuss ways in which you can stay in control of your ongoing Budget Conferencing usage.
Once we come to an agreement we will put this in writing via letter or email to you. You must inform us if your circumstances change (for better or for worse) during our arrangement.
We will not charge you for assessing your Financial Hardship circumstances or for administering the matter.

If your business is facing financial difficulty, you may wish to consider obtaining advice from a financial counsellor.
